Isn't it a mystery why people and even businesses don't seem to mind having their names or reputations associated with loons and fruitcakes, until they get tarred with the same brush?
It shows an election poster fixed outside the Colliers Arms pub near Walsall, where Ukip's last remaining local councillor was defending his seat, but finished last. Speaking to S.Staffs council, it was clear the poster broke election law. and the pub had it taken down after it had been up several days.
Entertaining though the responses are to the tweet, it gets much more interesting if one dials, during office hours, the phone number for Ukip shown on the poster, 0800 587 6587. I won't spoil your fun by telling you who might pick it up, who will strenuously deny having anything to do with Ukip, but I ended up receiving a rude, maybe threatening, email from someone claiming to be Ukip's boss.
What sort of crazy biz would buy a second-hand 0800 number that had been used for years by Ukip ? ? Did it need a mental Quick Fix ? ?
And where did Ukip's Satanic Millions go, if it can't even afford a poster showing the correct phone number ?
